Nothing gives a cook, especially a blogger, more satisfaction than getting feedback about her recipes. Few kind words, few “thanks” and tons of emails letting the cook know that her recipe turned out well etc. always play a pivotal role for all the effort she puts into her blog. I take this post to reach out to all my readers (who have commented and who are yet to) to personally thank them for trying out my recipes especially to those who take the time and energy to let me know about the same too.
Its been a while since I updated ‘My kitchen to yours’ section! Oh well – just had too many scheduled posts to get out of the way. Anyways, today’s featured member is going to someone special to me. About a month back, I got this mail from dear Sweatha – yes the very same sweatha who blogs at http://tastycurryleaf.blogspot.com/. You might ask why she is special?
Well here is my reason. I had started blogging at culinarybazaar.blogspot.com. That time my number of readers were nothing to what I cherish now and few of my blogger buddies informed me that the reason I didn’t seem to get that many was because I don’t post that many Indian dishes.
“But..but..that’s what I cook on a day to day basis! I like to explore new dishes past my horizon and comfort zone..and blogging helps me to tread those areas well – shouldn’t I be improving myself then?” – I asked.
“Its your prerogative – more people = more money. Or it will just that you learn few extra dishes. You choose” – they said.
They were absolutely right from their perspective, but I chose to stick to what I believed and felt comfortable in. I mean we all have our own strengths and weakness right? Shouldn’t we decide on what is right for us, instead of doing what works for someone else? In trying to do what others do, we might in the middle cease to enjoy the whole experience. Then one day, I got a mail from Sweatha who told me, that she has found my blog inspiring which made her try out new dishes too. That mail really did it and I stuck to what I thought was right and it so remains till today. Its was so long ago – she might have forgotten her mail to me, but it remains etched in my mind till date since it gave me encouragement to prod on with my principles.
Her enthusiasm and excitable mannerisms are infectious. Her blog boasts of immense variety of dishes from every corner of the world. Amongst them is one recipe – Tofu Bhurji which she tried from my site.

This is what Swetha had to say. In her own words -
” The dish was very hearty and I enjoyed it as itself.I could not feel any difference by using tofu in this dish also instead of Paneer
She also very kindly wrote to me that
“I must say that apart from this your tomato chutney ,then aloo banarsi, spinach puff pastry swirls, hyderabadi biryani etc are tried and tasted and barring the swirls are regulars.I wish puff pastry were available in India.Apart from these umpteen recipes are on ‘to – be -tried’ list esp breads.”
Thank you Swetha for sending me the pictures along with such a generous feedback. Now you know why you are special:)
Do you have any pictures of a successful dish made from Chef In You? Any great experience to share with rest of us? Do drop me a line and I will showcase it here
