Healthy palak subjee wid flavor of coconut and red chillies.
Wash a bunch of red or green palak thoroughly, Cut them into fine pieces, add little water , cooking soda and pressure well for three whistles.
Drain the water, cool the cooked spinach and keep it aside.
Add 3 peppercorns, red chillies, salt, 1 tsp jeera, 2 tsp coconut along with the cooked spinach. Grind into a fine paste.
Finally ,tamper the palak mash with mustard seeds and broken urad dhal, 2 dry red chillies in one tsp coconut oil and a pinch of asafoetida.
Ur palak mash or keerai masiyal is ready to be served.
