This is again one of those old recipes from grand mother to my mom to me. This one is simple and yummy version of Raita. This taste yummy w. plain white rice.

Ingredients
  • 1 medium size cucumber.
  • 1/2 Tsp - salt
  • 1 1/2 cup - Yogurt
  • 3 Tsp - Daria dal/ Dalia/ Roasted Chana dal
  • 1/2 tsp - Jeera/ Cumin
  • 3 - Green chillies
  • little bit of Chopped Cilantro and curry leaves
  • Tadka/ Seasoning/ Talimpu:
  • 2 Tsp - Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp - Mustard seeds
  • 1 Dry Red Chilli
  • Curry leaves
Method
1.

Diced the Cucumber into small pieces and add salt and keep it aside.

2.

Grind Daria dal, Jeera, Green chillies, Cilantro and Curry leaves into fine paste. Mix the paste to above cucumber so that it is evenly coated to all the pieces. Then add Tadka/Seasoning to the Cucumber.

3.

Add the yogurt to the above cucumber when you are ready to serve it.
