An Indian dessert, though made in all over India by the different names of Kheer in North,Payasam in South,Payesh in Bengal. It is full of protein, calcium, and healthy almonds. Good for pregnant and new motheres, babies, kids and the elderly. It's a little high in calories, but you can make it low cal if you'd like by using low fat or skimmed milk:)
In a deep pan, bring milk to a boil. Add carrot puree, stir, and bring to a boil again.
Add sugar and stir continuously to melt. Add almond paste and stir for 2-3 minutes. Stir in cardamom powder.
Serve hot or chilled.You can garnish with dried fruit flakes of your choice.
actually i love sweets,so when my neighbour bangera aunty served me this payasm,i liked it very much n asked her about recipe n made it with little bit changes,thx aunty:)
