Actually in India , we make more than hundred varieties of halwa , as we Indians have a sweet tooth.I made this halwa twice before , but today i made it specially for CIY.....:)

Ingredients
  • 2 cups chopped plums (blanched in sugar syrup and pureed)
  • 1 cup milk (warmed)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tablespoon ghee
  • 1 tsp green cardamom powder
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp fresh beet root juice (to enhance the color)
Method
1.

In a non stick pan heat ghee ,add pureed plum and milk.Stir constantly or it will burn.When the mixture , started to thicken add condensed milk ,beet root juice and stir.

When the mixture started to leave the pan , add cardamom powder and put off the gas,transfer to bowl.

Garnish with chopped nuts of your choice , i prefer pistachioes mostly , for red and green color combination.I forgot to add saffron , if you have handy add the saffron in warm milk, the fragrance will be divine.Serve hot....:)
