Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball.A Mojito is traditionally made of rum, but I made virgin mojito using fresh plums.Really a must try one:)

  • Yields: serves one
  • 2 red plums(cored and chopped coarsely)
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup sugar water
  • 3/4 cup chilled ice water
  • 1/4 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of freshly crushed pepper
  • Ice cubes
  • For Garnish:
  • Lemon juice
  • Salt
  • Fresh cherries
  • mint sprig

Dip the rim of a, old fashioned glass in a lemon juice and then coat with salt.Refrigerate till use.


In a steel glass add chopped plums , mint leaves and muddle with small wooden pastle.Add sugar syrup,lemon juice,salt and crushed pepper and chilled water.


Transfer in the prepared glass. garnish with cherries on side and keep mint sprig as stirrer.Serve chilled on rocks:)

when dk, started plum mania,i started thinking of plum base dishes, then suddenly it clicked in my mind why not try plum mojito.i earlier made virgin majito"s using fresh pineapple , sweet lime water melon but plum majito, na never thought.all thx to dk ,today 1/2 hrs before i tried it and can"t resist myself to share it with all of you.hope all of you love it:)
