yes.. i made this.. just that instead of using just egg whites i used full egg (3).. It looks exactly the same as shown in the pic... I sent a piece of cake home and they all loved it, my friends also loved it :)
I personally think it IS indeed the reason. Oat bran is dry while Bananas are wet. So when you add more wet ingredient, it naturally would be stickier. --DK
I have provided the link for making egg substitutes in the ingredients list. Pls refer :)
I dont own an M/W and hence have never tried baking in it myself. But pls do see if this post helps in this regard - http://chefinyou.com/2010/05/baking-in-microwave-convection-oven/
I have provided just below the ingredients list with the substitute preeti :) use chopped walnuts instead :) --DK
Since the recipe is built around bananas as its main ingredient I am not sure how well it will work out without them. But I have another recipe for making chocolate brownies without bananas. Will post that soon :) --DK
You can Store brownies in a tightly covered container, or leave them in the pan and cover tightly with aluminum foil. I stored them covered fridge. They easily keep well for 5-7 days. They also freeze well. Thaw them before serving :)--DK
Try using silken tofu or applesauce. It might work well for the brownies. Or just add more bananas to substitute the eggs --DK
If u live in the USA, then def. try to get your hands on the oat bran in your local health stores! Worth it for nutrition and adding amazing chewiness to your baked goods. Otherwise just substitute nuts for it since they will also provide the chewiness in this brownie :) --DK
You have an excellent memory divs! wayyy good! yes these were the ones :) --DK
Having not tried it out personally, I am not sure either ways - whether it will work or be a disaster!..But it doesnt hurt to experiment...if u try, wud love to hear the feedback from you....I might do the same :) --DK
yes you can but you will have to add some salt and soda to the batter. I have added a link to my substitute page for the flour in the ingredients list. Hope that helps :) --DK
