tasty creamy potato dish with a twist

Ingredients
  • INGREDIENTS
  • 500 GMS -BABY POTATOES
  • 3 PCS-RIPE MANGOES (LANGDA , HIMSAGAR , GULAB KHAAS, OR ANY OTHER VARIETY)
  • 3 PCS - GARLIC
  • 2 PCS - ONION
  • 25 GMS - CHIVES
  • 200 ML-CREAM
  • PAANCH PHORAN( CUMIN SEEDS, ONION SEEDS, FENNEL SEEDS, FENUGREEK SEEDS,METHI SEEDS)
  • 3 TSP - OIL
  • 1 TSP-RED CHILI PASTE
  • 1 TSP-CORIANDER POWDER
  • SUGAR AND SALT TO TASTE
Method
1.

Par boil the baby potatoes and peel .

2.

Chop the onions , garlic and chives
Peel the mango and puree remove the stone.

3.

In a pan add oil and add a teaspoon of the paanch phooran and let it crackle then add the onion and garlic and cook till translucent ,add the potatoes and cook till potatoes turn little brown.
Then add the chili paste and coriander powder and cook further.
Now add the mango puree,sugar and salt.
Add water if puree is too thick.

4.

Let the potatoes simmer in the puree.
Now add the cream once the gravy starts to bubble.
Chives and cook till the gravy bubbles
Turn the flame off and serve with rice or roti and papad .

5.

4 non vegetarians dice the chicken add salt lemon juice and little mango puree and let it marinate add the chicken after the potato stage .
