Thalipeeth is a type of savoury multi-grain pancake popular in Western India. It is a special Maharashtrian dish. The dough is prepared from a special flour ...Bhajani.But today I m making it gluten free and one which is used for fast:)

  • Prep time:
  • Yields: 5-6 small size
Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sweet potato,boiled and grated
  • 1/2 cup sago, soaked in butter milk for 1/2 an hrs
  • 1/2 cup samo (mario seeds)or Bhagar flour
  • 1/2 cup amarnath (rajgeera)flour
  • 1/2 cup sour curd
  • 1 /2 tea spoon pepper powder
  • 1/2 tea spoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander chopped
  • salt as per taste
  • oil as per needed
  • (if want more heat add 2 green chillies chopped)
Method
1.

In a large bowl mix every thing except oil.Make 5-6 balls.Keep in refrigerator for 5-7 minutes.

2.

On a tawa / griddle flatten the ball with your hands, make a hole in the middle. Than start the gas and by drizzling little bit of oil from the sides and in the hole, cook it from both the sides.Repeat the same process with remaining balls.

3.

Serve hot with curd , coconut or any grren chutney. If you wish you can flatten balls on the butter paper first and than transfer to hot griddle.

4.

If you wish can add boiled and grated potato or yum to this.If not using for fast than you can add any chopped greens to it .It taste divine when we add finely chopped onions and onion greens to it.As it is for fast I avoided turmeric, but if u want color to it can add a pinch:)
