Thandai is a very popular drink in India specially related to Holi & Mahashivratri festival.Thandai is a refreshing and healthful drink.

  • Yields: make 10 glass
  • For Thandai Masala:
  • 20 almonds
  • 20 pistachios
  • 4 tablespoon melon seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds / chironji
  • 2 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds / saunf
  • 10 dry rose petals
  • 6 peppercorns
  • 2 green Cardamom
  • few strands saffron
  • For Thandai:
  • 500 ml milk (chilled)
  • 100 gram thandai masala
  • 200 gram sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon rose water
  • few ice cubes
  • For Garnish:
  • Mix dry fruits (chopped)
  • Dry rose petals
  • Saffron strands (few)

For Thandai Masala:Grind all of them and store in an airtight container.


For Thandai: In a blender,blend all,ingredients well,till sugar dissolve,garnish and serve chilled.


NOTE:My VEGAN friends can try it with soy or coconut milk,i had tried both version and that taste really cool.
