Ingredients
  • palak-4cups
  • tuvar dal-1cup
  • turmeric powder-1/2tsp
  • hing powder-1/4tsp
  • oil-2tsp
  • urda dal-2tsp
  • red chillies-2or3nos
  • grated coconut-2tsp
  • cumin seeds-1/4tsp
  • salt-to taste
  • rice flour-2tsp
Method
1.

In a pressure cooker,cook tuvar dal. Take it out and keep aside.

Take 4 cups of palak wash it and cut it nicely. then in a kadai, add 2cups of water and add the chopped palak. allow it to cook, in it add turmeric powder and salt.

Grind grated coconut and cumin seeds together in a mixie nicely. take it out and add this in the palak mixture. stir it. then add the boiled tuvar dal. mix it well. then take rice flour in a cup add little water mix it and add this in the palak dal mixture.

4.

In a kadai add 2tsp of oil . When it gets heated, add urad dal and hing powder. when it turns golden brown add this into the dal palak.

5.

Serve it with rice.
