Kachori is a savory item,made by using differnet types of stuffing.It may be of peas,lentils,gram flours or nuts.This one is made out of different nuts and coconut,which can be stored on self for about 20-25 days:)

Ingredients
  • For Cover:
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon chilled water
  • For Filling:
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1/4 cup gram flour
  • 1/4 cup almond crushed
  • 1/4 cup cashew nut crushed
  • 1/4 cup chopped raisins
  • 1/4 cup dessicated coconut
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds (roasted)
  • 1 table spoon amchoor powder(dry mango powder)
  • 1 tablespoon crushed fennel seeds
  • 1 tablespoon crushed dry coriander
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt as per taste
  • 2 table spoon milk
  • 2 table spoon water
  • Oil for frying
Method
1.

For Cover:In a bowl mix oil, salt, flour and chilled water, make dough cover with dump cloth and keep for 1/2 an hour.

For Filling:In a pan heat oil,add gram flour and saute till aroma came out of it ,now add all remaining ingredients,sprinkle milk and saute for 5 minutes,put off the gas and cool it.

Make equal balls of both cover and filling.Flatten the dough in your hand and stuff with filling"s ball and cover properly,see that there will not be any crack.

4.

Heat oil in a kadai and on slow flame fry the kachori,stir the kadai in between and Don"t use frying spoon till done .Drain on the tissue paper.

5.

Let it cool at room temperature and store in the air tight jar.Ready to eat with tea,coffee,cold drink or as it is:)

In the "Method," you have missed the step about frying the dough balls. But it's a good recipe; I'll surely give it a try. Thanks!
