This is a well known bread loved by all.banana,one fruit,which is available through out the year.I tried this bread for so many times,but some times it becomes too moist or too hard!!But finally I got the required texture,for my bread.You can also add cocoa powder,for that extra bitterness,I didn"t fancy ,so I"ve not added.If you have roasted hazulnuts add to this bread,it tastes heavenly:)

Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (soft)
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • !00 gram yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg powder
Method
1.

In a mixing bowl, cream sugar and butter. Beat in yogurt, vanilla,spices and bananas until thoroughly blended.

Combine and shift flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and stir just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.

3.

Spoon into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 180 degrees C for 50-60 minutes or until the bread tests done with a wooden pick.

4.

Serve as it is or over the cup of hot brewing coffee :)

Came out wonderfully, but it was more like cake-very moist and sweet!

Hi, Can I substitute whole wheat for AP? Also, instead of choco chips, could I add choco powder? Thanks.
