A very famous ,world known bread...Garlic cheese bread.....simple yet tasty dish,I made it perfect in 9th attempt...:DD....as every time something or other went wrong with it,but as m die hard fan of this bread i kept trying ma hand on it ,i made it for Sunday brunch along with other one brown bread....hope you guys will like it:))))

Ingredients
  • For Preparing Yeast:
  • 1 tablespoon dried yeast
  • 1/4 cups luke warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • For Dough:
  • 3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup soy flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 cup milk(luke warm)
  • For Stuffing:
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh garlic (crushed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper (crushed)
  • For brushing:
  • 1 tablespoon milk (chilled)
  • For Dusting:
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon dry flour
  • For Topping:
  • 1 tablespoon garlic butter (soft)
  • 1/4 cup process cheese (grated)
  • parsley (dry)
  • pepper (crushed)
Method
1.

Preheat oven to 220 degrees C.
For preparing yeast:
Dissolve sugar,flour and yeast in water, let stand for 5 minutes until frothy.

For making dough:
In a large bowl,put flours and salt ,make a well in the center. Add yeast mixture, milk and oil and mix to a soft dough.

Knead on a lightly floured surface about 5 minutes or until smooth and elastic. Put into a large bowl, cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm place for 2 hours or until doubled in size.

Punch down dough. Knead dough 2 minutes, then roll into a 1/2 inch thick square. Spread both cheese,crushed garlic and spices.Roll up like a jellyroll and place, seam side down, on a dusted loaf baking tin.

Brush with milk and bake for 30 min @ 220 degrees C or until bread sounds hollow when tapped underneath. Cool little bit.

Brush with garlic butter,sprinkle cheese and spices,bake @ 180 degrees C for 5-7 min or till cheese melt .cool on wire rack.Cut and serve..hot or at room temperature...always tastes yummmmmmmmm:):)

NOTE:Ma Vegan friends can avoid milk,and use water in it"s place.

Note:Vegan can use tofu for stuffing instead of cheese.

NOTE:If you want can add any other flour or herbs to it.
