Milagu kuzambu is a famous recipe in Tamil Nadu. It is enjoyed in every South Indian household during the rainy season. It is useful for removing cold, for proper digestion etc.It is very tasty with rice and sutta appalam with paruppu thogayal.

Ingredients
  • tamarind -lime size
  • toor dal-1 table spoon
  • coriander seeds- 1 table seeds
  • pepper-1 table spoon
  • red chilli- 2 medium sized
  • hing powder-small pinch
  • salt-as per taste
  • seasame oil-1 tablespoon
  • mustard seeds-1/2 tea spoon
  • curry leaves-5 to 6 twigs
Method
1.

take a pan. put1/2 tea spoon oil. soak tamarind in 1/2 cup water.

roast coriander seeds, toor dal.pepper,chillies,hing and then add curry leaves.

3.

then grind everything in a mixie nicely. add salt .Take a kadai, put the remaining oil. after the oil gets heated ,add mustard seeds, pinch of hing powder.

4.

when mustard seeds splutter, then pour the mixture in the mixie and allow them to boil.

5.

then add turmeric powder, with 3cups of water, and allow them to boil when the raw smell of tamarind leaves and oil in the kuzambu gets separated you can very well know that the kuzmbu is ready
