This paneer dish is a popular Indian delight and is found in most Indian restaurants. This is my version of this delicious dish that is both quick and easy to make.....:)

  • Yields: serves 2-3 person
Ingredients
  • For Grilled Paneer:
  • 250 grams malai paneer / cottage cheese(cubed)
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • salt to taste
  • For Tempering:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 dry red chilli
  • For Gravy:
  • 1 cup tomato (boiled and pureed)
  • 1/2 cup onions(boiled and pureed)
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • For Spices:
  • 1 teaspoon kashmiri chilli powder/ as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon chaat masala
  • 1 teaspoon kitchen king masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder (roasted)
  • 1 tablespoon dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder / according to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt as per taste
  • Add Ons:
  • 2 tablespoon cashew nut paste(soaked in hot milk and made a paste)
  • 2 table spoon cream
  • 2 tablespoon yogurt
  • For Garnish:
  • Fresh coriander (chopped)
Method
1.

For Grilled Paneer:Sprinkle salt and red chilli flakes on paneer an keep for 5 minutes in refrigerator.On hot griller grill paneer by applying little bit of oil.keep aside.

For Tempering:Heat oil and butter in a pan and add tempering ,add ginger garlic paste and saute,add onion puree and saute.Add tomato puree and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Add all spices one by one and mix well,cook for 3-4 minutes.Add add ons one by one and cook for another 5 minutes.

Transfer to serving plate and place grilled paneer on top .Serve hot with steam rice or any flat bread.....njoy:)
