This simple yet delicious ,traditional;bread from Gujarat is a terrific way to get your kids to eat their greens,in one single dish.Today I m sharing all different type of thepla,which will match the mood and taste of new gener........:)

  • Yields: 10 normal size
Ingredients
  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup soy flour
  • 1/4 cup lettuce /cabbage
  • 1/4 cup carrot
  • 1/4 cup spring onions
  • 1/4 cup onion greens
  • 1/4 cup capsicum
  • 1 tbsp coriander stem chopped
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp red chilli paste / as per taste
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar / any vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp crushed pepper / as per taste
  • 1 green chillies chopped /as per taste / avoid
  • 2-3 leaves bokchoy or spinach
  • (all veggies,should be ,finely sliced length wise)
  • 1 tsp oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • Water as and if needed
  • Flour for dusting
  • Oil / butter for roasting (oil taste better in this thepla)
Method
1.

In a large bowl,mix well,sprinkle little water if needed to make normal chapatti dough.Apply 1 tsp oil and refrigerate for 15 mins.

Make small balls out of dough, and roll thin chapattis using dry flour.Don"t use too much flour,roast on a hot griddle by applying little bit of oil on both sides.Serve hot as it is or with ,salsa, ketchup or any dip u lilke........:)

Note:
Can not be stored on self for more than 24 hrs,like other theplas , as it contains sauces,BUT can be refrigerated for a week.Just bring to room temperature,cover in cheese cloth,sprinkle little water and microwave for 1 min.on medium temperature.
