Any mention of Rajasthani food without Daal Baati is always incomplete. In fact Daal Baati is the stable dish of Rajasthani"s, is easy to make, nutritious and simply delightful in taste.I just added stuffing,to give extra taste:)
Preheat the Tandoor for 10 minutes.Knead a soft dough with flour, semolina, gram flour Ghee(clarified butter), curd, salt and just enough water.
Roll into lemon-sized balls and flatten on your palm and spoon the stuffing roll again and keep covered for one hour(Mix all the ingredients of stuffing in a bowl.)
keep in hot tandoor in batches and roast from both sides, till puffed and golden outside and spongy inside or roast on hot coals or bake in oven.
Dip in melted ghee and serve with lots of melted ghee,Panchkuti Dal and Gatte Ki Sabji. As this one is stuffed with savory masala can be served as it is with ghee:)
Note:
If you made it without masala can be stored on self for 7-8 days, just warm while serving.
you can also add different stuffing of your choice.
we make this dish for special occasions,i made it today for sunday brunch,so thought to share with all ma foodie friends:)
