This rice is full of cream,cheese and veggies...full of calories....but once in a moon our body;also need such pampering..:D:D..so friend don"t heed your cravings ...eat such food...but...But in smaller portions,in a brunch or lunch time and do some exercise later on :)

  • Yields: serves 3-4 person
Ingredients
  • 4 cup basmati rice (boiled)
  • For Tempering:
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon celery (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon spring onion (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoon yellow bell pepper (chopped)
  • 4 tablespoon red cabbage (chopped)
  • For add on:
  • 1 table spoon low fat cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon process cheese (grated)
  • 1 tablespoon cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 1/4 cup cows milk
  • for Spices:
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 1 teaspoon white pepper powder or as per taste
  • salt to taste
  • For Garnish:
  • Onion Greens (finely chopped) - as needed
Method
1.

In pan heat olive oil and butter,ad all ingredients of tempering in a given order,saute in between.

Now add spices and boiled rice and mix well.Add all ingredients of add on and give mix lightly.

Put off the flame,keep covered for 5 min or till cheese melt inside.mix well and garnish with chopped onion greens,serve hot.......no extra side dish is require..:)

NOTE: I mentioned onion greens for garnish as;i didn"t added it to the dish;while making it,as when you eat, the crunchiness of greens goes well;along with the smooth rice.

NOTE: Always use edible things for garnish and also use the ingredients which goes well with the dish.
