In a pressure cooker, combine the beans, vegetables, garlic, cloves, ginger and bay leaf. Add enough water to cover by 1 inch.

Pressure cook it for 10-15 minutes. I cooked for 4 whistles.

Discard the vegetables and seasonings. Add the molasses, soy sauce, oil and mustard.

Return it to the stove top over medium heat and simmer the beans, uncovered for abt 20 minutes or until they are meltingly tender

and the liquid has thickened into a rich sauce.
