I also heard that the recipe add some yeast isn’t it. Is it not necessary prove the dough?

loved this bread, we ate it fresh nice and still warm with some margarine on top, I was out of normal milk so used soy milk, still tasted delicious. I used less sugar then the recipe asked for and still found it too sweet, next time will use even less sugar. other than that , it was amazing even my 9 year old daughter loved it!

So I made this bread but I lost my braid in the baking. Once I made the braid and left it to rise it looked perfect, but by the time it was finished baking it was a loaf. I'm an amateur but I want to know how to keep this from happening again. Thanks
