This is an Indian style,open toast,tastes yummmm and quick to make.Good option for surprise gusts too :)

  • Yields: serve 2 person
  • 6 slice wheat bread / any bread (toasted)
  • For Topping:
  • 1/2 cup semolina (roasted)
  • 1/2 cup cream / malai
  • 1/4 cup hung curd
  • 1 tablespoon onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon capsicum (finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon red bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon sweet corn (boiled)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder / as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes / as per taste
  • 2-3 green chillies (finely chopped) / as per taste
  • salt to taste
  • oil as needed
  • process cheese as needed

For Topping: In a owl mix all ingredients,except oil and cheese with light hand and keep aside.


on a bread slice apply topping.In a flat pan keep the toast,sprinkle cheese on the top,add oil on the sides of toast and on low flame cook covered,till the cheese melts or micro it on high flame for 1 min.


Serve hot with any soup / mocktail / cocktail....enjoyyyyyyyy


Vegans can replace cream and cheese with coconut milk and silken tofu.It also tastes very yummy,even non vegans can try it at least once.
