A savory cake,with lots of grians ,lentils and veggies,this one is quick and can be made instantly.

  • Yields: serves 4 person
  • For Batter:
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/4 cup oats flour
  • 1 cup gram flour
  • 1/2 cup split yellow gram flour
  • 1/4 cup split pigeon pea flour
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup grated sweet corn
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons green chilli-ginger paste or to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 1 pkt Eno Fruit Salt
  • water or as needed
  • For Sprinkling:
  • Red chilli powder
  • Garam masala
  • For the tempering:
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 4 chopped green chillies or to taste
  • few curry leaves
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Mix all ingredients for batter,except eno and preheat the oven at 200 degree C.Add the eno,just before baking and mix in one direction till the batter is fluffy.


Pour this batter into a greased tin.Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degree C for 15-20minutes or till the crust is golden brown.Sprinkle the spices.


Four the tempering:
Heat the oil and add the ingredients for tempering,pour this over the Baked Cake.


NOTE:Vegans can avoid yogurt and use citric acid.


NOTE:You can Add any veg of your choice to the batter.

Thx Aarthy :) gram flour is besan,split yellow gram flour is moongdal ka atta,split pigeon flour is tuver dal atta and oats powdered without roasting...:)

Yummy ! going to try tonight. Gram Flour is Besan. whats Spilt Yellow gram flour? and Spilt pigeon pea flour? Oats flour = is it roasted oats n powdered?
