Aam Panna, a noted Indian cooling summer drink made with raw or green mangoes is an instant thirst quencher.Protects against sun strokes, is a wonderful source of vitamin C and prevents the loss of excessive sodium chloride and iron from the body during summer due to sweating. It also prevents summer diarrhoea, colds, piles, morning sickness, indigestion and constipation.

Ingredients
  • 1 raw mango (roasted ,peeled,cored and pureed)
  • 250 ml water (chilled)
  • 4-5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup refined sugar or honey or as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black salt
  • 1 teaspoon jaljeera powder
  • 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon saunth or dry ginger powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • pinch of asafoetida water
  • salt to taste
  • few ice cubes
  • few drops of kewda essence (optional)
  • For Garnish:
  • sugar syrup
  • smoked paprika powder
  • mint leaves
  • For Serving:
  • old fashioned glass
Method
1.

In a blender add all ingredients and blend it,refrigerate till use.

2.

Apply sugar syrup on the rim of the glass,coat with smoked paprika and refrigerate the glass till use.

While serving first add few ice cubes,chopped mint leaves and then pour the juice serve chilled...wah wah...!!!

NOTE: You can adjust sugar and spices according to your taste.

What are you referring as "roasted" for Raw Mango? How to roast raw mango?
