Actually,as usual I don"t fancy to eat plain makki ki roti ,so added few things to eat and renamed Panjabi RoTTI,I hope all of you will like it:)))))

  • Yields: serves 3-4 person
Ingredients
  • 2 cup maize flour
  • 2 tablespoon bengal gram flour
  • 1 tablespoon sorgham (jowar atta)
  • 1 teaspoon soy flour
  • 1/4 cup sour yogurt (vegans can avoid)
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon carrom seeds (add by crushing between your palms)
  • 1 teaspoon dry fenugreek leaves (add by crushing between your palms)
  • 1 tablespoon dry coriander leaves
  • 1 teaspoon dry pomegranate (anardana)(roasted and crushed)
  • 1 tablespoon sweet corn (blanched and crushed)
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
  • 1 teaspoon crushed green chillies / as per taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder / as per taste
  • pinch of turmeric
  • salt to taste
  • Luke Warm Water-as needed
  • Butter or Ghee-as needed (vegans can use oil)
  • Dry Flour (any)-as needed
Method
1.

Mix all ingredients,except water,knead in a soft pliable dough, adding very little water at a time.

2.

When the dough is very smooth and soft, make,lemon size balls, flatten and pat with palm,and roll in a little thick rotti,using dry flour.

3.

Place on a heavy iron or earthen griddle and roast till crisp,by using butter or ghee,from both sides.

4.

Serve hot with sarson ka saag and onion and fresh green chillies.
