As I told you, earlier also that dhokla is made and presented with lots of variation and this one is little bit spicy,looks like sandwich.

Ingredients
  • For Dhokla:
  • 250 gram batter of KHATA Dohkla (recipe I had given earlier)
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon citric acid
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda-bi-carb
  • salt to taste:
  • For Green Chutney:
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander (chopped with stems)
  • 1/4 cup ganthiya (savory made from gram flour)
  • 1/4 cup cashew nuts
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coconut (grated)
  • 2-3 green chillies (or to taste)
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 1-2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Tomato Ketchup-as needed
  • For Tempering:
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • few curry leaves
  • 1-2 green chillies chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
Method
1.

For Dhokla:
Mix fermented dhokla batter,along with other ingredients,and immediately transfer to greased plate and steam in pre steamed steamer for 20 min. (keep the dhokla's little bit thinner,then regular one)

Cool the dhokla,apply green chutney on it and cover with another,layer of dhokla,which is covered with tomato ketchup.press little bit,pour tempering on it,cut in square pieces and serve hot.

For Tempering:
In a pan heat oil,and add all ingredients in given order,except,water,put off the heat and add water.

For Green Chutney:
In a grinder add all ingredients and churn till smooth paste,is obtained.

NOTE:
you can make sandwich dhokla with other dhokla batter too,but this one looks and taste really delicious.
