I know know you guys might be thinking that I had gone mad....but actually I wanted some fancy starter for some of my child guests on Children"s Day....so created this dish.It is full of nuts,potatoes and cheese,all fav things of children"s.

Ingredients
  • 250 gram potatoes (boiled and grated)
  • 100 gram process cheese (grated)
  • 100 gram cottage cheese (grated)
  • 50 gram almonds (toasted and crushed)
  • 50 gram walnuts (toasted and crushed)
  • 20 gram raisins (chopped)
  • 20 gram glazed cherry (chopped)
  • 20 gram fresh coriander (chopped)
  • 10 gram fresh mint (chopped)
  • 20 gram roasted gram powder
  • 10 gram dry mango powder
  • 10 gram green chilli (crushed) / as per taste or OPTIONAL
  • 5 gram dry fenugreek (crushed by hand)
  • 2 gram pepper powder / as per taste
  • 2 gram roasted cumin powder
  • 1 gram sugar powder
  • salt to taste
  • DRY CORN FLOUR for dusting
  • OIL for deep fry
Method
1.

In a big bowl mix all ingredients with light hand and make a dough,keep covered in refrigerator for 10 min,so that all spices and nuts mix very well.

2.

Make small cushions (or we call it masanad in hindi) out of the dough,lightly dust with cornflour.

3.

In a hot oil,deep fry all the cushions in batches on medium flame till golden.

4.

NOTE:A very good option for any occasion or party ,get together,picnic,or THANKS GIVING too:))))))))))

5.

Serve hot with Ketchup or any hot sauce of your liking,goes well with any mocktail or shakes or hot or cold beverage.

6.

NOTE: Vegans can avoid cheese totally and can add silken bean curd (tofu) if wish.

Bcoz,acc to me cooking is inventing and one can"t stop cooking any particular dish due to restriction or unavailabilty of any particular ingredient.
