Dal-Roti Khao Prabhu Ke Gun Gao (eat chapatti and lentil n remeber your GOD)-which means eat simple n healthy,is the general proverb in India, though I totally agree with it but what if by mixing both dishes, create something nice and tempting. So I created this dish and given the name DaL Ke FaRrE.
For Paste: Soak all lentils in tap water for 4 hours. After 4 hours, drain and add green chillies, ginger, green garlic and coarsely grind it.
For Cover:In a bowl mix all ingredients and make hard dough by using water, keep covered for 20 minutes.
For Stuffing: In a pan heat ghee and add tempering, when cumin turns golden add paste and on low flame saute till golden, add salt and spices.cool it down.
Now add ingredients of add on and mix well.Stuffing is ready. After 20 minutes, dough will rise, just punch with knuckles and again stretch.Make lemon size balls .
Now roll small,1/4 inch thick puris out of the balls, spoon stuffing, generously, fold the puri in half circle and seal the edges properly with fork.
Place the farre in greased plate and steam for 1o minutes in a hot steamer.cool down it.
In a hot oil,fry farre in batches,on medium flame till golden brown.
Serve hot with plain yogurt, green chutney and tamarind chutney or any condiments of your choice.
NOTE:I used lentls as,They are a good source of protein, fiber, and folic acid. They also contain many trace minerals.Since lentils contain a large amount of fiber, they are effective in lowering cholesterol
and managing blood sugar disorders.

NOTE:You can make stuffing of any veggies or cheese of your choice too.Can add any flour of your choice to cover dough.
Note: I fried it but if you wish can bake it also by applying oil on it.Or can eat steamed ones as momos with some tomato gravy.
