As I told you ,earlier that I had ample quinoa flour in ma pantry,I made dhokla out of it......but with little bit twist...... just wanna share with you all...:)
For Tempering:
Heat oil and add all ingredients and keep aside.Again heat it,while using.Keep the steamer ,ready to heat.
For Batter:
Mix all ingredients and add Eno,whisk in one direction till fluffy and immediately pour in greased plate.
In a hot steamer, steam it for 15-20 min, cool and sprinkle red chilli flakes and pour tempering on it,cut and serve hot.
Can be served with any chutney / ketchup / hot dip / salsa......along with hot or cold beverage.
NOTE:
If by chance you don"t have quinoa flour, use oats powder .
NOTE 2:
If you wish can add any veggies by chopping or grating it will add color n nutrient to the dish.
NOTE 3:
In place of Eno,one can use 1/2 teaspoon soda-bi-carb,but then you have to rest the batter covered for 15 min.
NOTE 4:
If you don"t have soy milk or don"t like it ,can use butter milk or coconut milk or plain water in it"s place.
NOTE 5:
If you don"t have lotus seeds, then can avoid it or can replace it with any other nuts powder, cashew tastes nice.Or you can use coconut powder instead it.
