Mosambi means sweet lime and matar means green peas...in Hindi...i just try to make a side dish with this two healthy n nutritious ingredients and hope fully turned out well....i think you guys will love it...:)

Ingredients
  • 250 gram green peas (blanched)
  • For Marination:
  • 1 cup fresh mosambi (sweet lime )juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry leaves paste
  • 1 teaspoon green chilli paste or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh mint paste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • For Tempering:
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon shah jeera (black cumin)
  • For Spices:
  • 1 tablespoon dry coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon clove powder
  • salt to taste
Method
1.

In a bowl mix all ingredients of marination,whisk properly.Ad peas and mix well,cover and keep marinated for 15-20 min.

In a pan heat oil and ad black cumin,swat for a sec.,then add marinated peas and on medium flame cook for 5-7 min,stirring in between,don"t cover it.

Now add all spices and mix well,sprinkle 1 -2 teaspoon water and on low flame,cook for 2 min.Chatpata mosambi matar is ready to serve...can"t wait any more.......have as it is or with any bread or rice...:)

NOTE: you can use this dish as stuffing for any SANDWICH TOAST // FRANKIE // PARANTHA (after mashing little bit) // KACHORI // SAMOSA....n many more...
