Named after the city where it originated, this easy fried, dish is a great appetizer or side dish to complement the main course.....actually it is made with FISH....but I made it with PANEER (cottage cheese)and grilled it instead of deep frying..:)
This dish is little bit spicy and also has prominent flavor of garlic, ginger and carom seeds.
In a deep flat vessel, combine all the marinade ingredients.Pour over the paneer cubes and refrigerate it for 30 minutes.
Now dust each paneer cubes with corn flour and on hot tawa or griller, grill from all sides till golden,by using oil spray on medium flame.
Sprinkle chat masala and garam masala over tikka and serve on tooth pic for easy handling or as it is with lots of salad and lemon wedge..if any one want extra squeez of fresh lemon juice.....
NOTE: My VEGAN friends can replace PANEER with fresh silken TOFU.
